I've been quiet

Hello everybody, I’ve been quiet on the blog, but I have been doing alot of alterations in my garden and G/H.
I have got a good variety of seedlings and seeds to come up.I am running out of room fast.I have made some makeshift cold frames, but I think it is too cold to put to many plants outside in it yet The trouble is I grow enough stuff to keep the whole street in plants. Instead of enough for me. But it’s so enjoyable to grow things. I’ve covered the bit of ground that I am going to use as my veggie patch to warm up. The front garden is vertualy finnished. I don’t know if I have mentioned that I was getting rid of the lawn to make some raised flower beds. It looks alittle silly at the moment with some frames filled with soil and nothing in them. To make it look a little better I have put some pots and other containers with bulbs just coming through dotted around the beds. I hope it will be better when the flower beds have been planted in a few weeks time.

If I have put the correct photo here it might give you some idea of the bareness of the front garden. Although I will be pleased with it later in the season See you all soon Frank

Well done Frank, the good news is that your garden will provide you with colour and healthytastey food. The bad news is that I think you've got an incurable illness called "Seedpacketitis" Ah well you'll have lots of appreciative neibours. :-))

I think that is great Frank and your enthusiasm shows. Lucky neighbours and friends I say. I think its a good idea to do away with grass to grow more plants. I always think that all the work in mowing, edging and feeding a lawn is a waste of valuable time, unless it ends up like a bowling green, and of course, unless you have young children.
I look forward to seeing photos of your results.

I like the different heights you've made, Frank. That will look great later on!

Well Frank you have been busy and done a great job by the look of it, will be great once the plants are in, looking forward to seeing them later in the year.

I'm sure your raised beds will look fantastic Frank - much better than a boring lawn .
