conifer confusion 1of 2

I’ve got several small conifers, and no idea what any of them are – which makes it a tad difficult to look up their “care” online.
Can anyone help me try to work out what I’ve got?
My last two acquisitions were the last plants rescued from the now-defunct DITO garden: I believe one to be a juniper, and have a vague idea that the other might be a false cypress, but none of the pictures on the BBC plant-finder of cypress and false cypress match.
Exhibit A – Juniper? it’s scaly-leaved and a bit prickly

Exhibit B – False Cypress?

I’ll have to leave Exhibit C for another blog, got an error message when I tried putting all my begs in one ask-it!

First could be Juniperous squamata 'Blue Star'.

Agree with Bulbaholic - looks like 'Blue Carpet'.

thank you Kildermorie, Bulbaholic and Kasy
The BBC Plant-Finder (nearly always my first port of call) has three prostrate Junipers:
J Conferta, Shore Juniper "Blue Pacific" - 30 x 100 cm high, blue-green foliage
J Horizontalis, Creeping Juniper "Bar Harbour" - 30 x 300. grey-green fioliage, turns purple in winter
J Squamata, Flaky Juniper "Blue Star" - 45 x 100 cm, metallic steely blue.
It doesn't have anything under "Blue Carpet"
or "false cypress"! plenty under "cypress",though - mine don't seem to be particularly hun-shaped, globular or conical, so that ruels them out. shouidn't take me long to narrow it down to a shortlist of one!
whichever it is, it'll do better with a trim, as you suggest, Kildermorie, thanks

First one is Juniper, perhaps prostrate Juniper.
Second one looks like False Cypress, I would cut off the brown bits to improve its look.
