3-barrel stacked water butt system

Just seen this on Instructables: a way to link three barrels to store rainwater, no fancy work needed, thought it might be of itnerest.

nods, he says he improved a previous post, which I've not seen yet, but it seems that the original had three barrels side by side, which called for pumps and took up a fair bit of ground space; this one doesn't need pumps, all gravity-fed, and takes up a lot less ground; but of course one needs the beight, and it's not exactly unobrusive!

Thats right, I read some of the later comments as well, I think it would be ideal on an allotment, but even in a garden one could hide it behind a screen of some description....

on the right side of the Instructable page is a list of "similar" which might give some ideas for adaptation to one's needs - I only checked one, that was "green water" and had a flower pillar round the barrel. Ok if you don't need to move it!

I`ve just checked that out Fran, its a darn good idea if one has the room to stack like matey has done....
