national butterfly census

Good idea - have seen very few since Spring, sadly.

Same here saw some brimstone and small blue but none of the usual red admirals, peacocks, commas or torties.?? Maybe when the buddleia are out.

my Baby Buzz has got one stem in flower, the other stem thinking about it, but only been a few days, maybe they've not noticed it yet, or maybe I need to move it so there's all-round access to it.

I dug up a buddleia seedling last year and potted it up, It looks as if it may be white....hope so!

The eBay site I got this from had all colours, I just happened to click on Magenta. Maybe I'll some more in other colours

I haven`t seen any for ages Fran, even in the meadows there weren`t any about, I think they`ve gone off to find some nicer weather elsewhere....

I' ve been trying to make a butterfly nectar feeder - I can buy one, and did, but it didn't have a reservoir to keep the feeder moist, which would have meant recharging it at least once a day.
