I remembered to get some close up pics of these orange flowers today: there seem to be two types, one with matching orange centre and one with black centre.
The only black-centred flower I know if is “Black-eyed Susan”, must check those out.
Both still have plenty of buds showing.

Calendula I agree Pamg. Mine self seed all over the place every year, which I don't mind one bit, I just pull up the ones I don't want.
I've also heard them called 'English Marigolds'

Yes thats them, mine are flowering as well, as said they do spread well and mainly by themselves, lol....

I think you'll be interested to know they are edible, hence the name pot marigold......put it into google to be sure its the same plant before you dare try it....

Yes its true I always plant some in my G'houses amongst my cucumbers and the tomato's and since doing that I don't get infested with that horrible whitefly or the red spidermite..

Calendula I think, pot marigold, very easy to grow from seed and will seed itself around the garden. I like them, always bright and cheerful
