Wow Balcony. It's like that old one, how many people can you get in a mini? You're certainly making use of all the space and the plants look great. Does it get sun all day?

Thorneyside: yes, it gets the sun from about 11am till it goes down. I think we face SW so we get just about all the sun going during the day.

I can trace the sun's movement across the sky all year round & know where it will be at any given time. Our bedroom windows face more or less East & it takes to about 11am all year round to get arout the right hand side of the balcony as you face it. Then it traces a great arc across the sky & this week it will set so far to our left that the sun won't actually shine into the balcony during its last 30minutes or so! Then it starts moving backwards again but when we reach the winter solstice it still shines into the balcony!
