Day Lily

Day Lily

Not a very clear picture is it? These were bought at a village, roadside plant sale in aid of the church roof! They are probably the best plant in my garden...they never fail to flower profusely & are growing in numbers all the time.Fabulous darling!!

Thanks Jacque...it's kinda stripey! The church was covered in scaffolding all last month so I guess it's finally been done Terra. Quite a few pounds worth bought by me in exchange for fab plants!

Hi Fluff... Thanks for asking...
Detailed update on Conker is in my blog no. 19.
His heart test was fine.
He's just had a huge chemo injection and next week is due for anaesthetic and exploratory surgery.
He's doing well thanks. :o)
Lovely shade of pink on your Lily above...

Can't see any brown splashes, Fluff.

I know Wagger...that's cos when I came home from work the next day he'd cut off all the brown bits with scissors!! To be fair tho' the plant completely recovered & has flowered beautifully! Guess I've forgiven him. :~))

The day lily is actually orange with darker orange stripes...it's just my dodgy camera work that has made it look pink! I've just been out & stared at it, much to my neighbour's amusement, to make sure!

Look at the other pic on my photo gallery...promise it's the same flower but look at the colour difference between camera 'phone 7 digital camera. Anyone know it's name? :0)

Just had another look at this, after seeing your latest photo of 'Kwanzo' and this is the perfect flower form, but of course, the colour went down the pan, didn't it....LoL

Yes you're right Bbb...the first photo was a flower on the original plant I bought locally...& the proper orange colour one is a plant that sprang up later. So...if I'd used the digital camera in the first place you would've seen the real thing!! :0)
