oophs just seen all my spelling mistakes Sandra I have been trying to catch up and being too clever not checking! I love the yellow but like you not too much space and keep cramming in new plants and cuttings so I will pass on the Crocosmia [being a good girl] and restrain myself1 Off to the local garden Centre in the Morning for some Echinopsis and Rudibeckia to liven up the borders lol [Harry thinks we are are going to the library lol

LOl,Carole...Did Harry manage to get to the library?..oh,they are so innocent aren't they?.and STILL can't understand how we think .:o) IThink we are very logical,to be honest...

I definately think we ae are logical! Harry dropped me off at the tiny GC but they had sold out all the garden plants I had my eyes on! typical reponse was why didnt you get them last time we were here? I didnt because he was pacing up and down outside with impatient bored look! does it sound familar?
Lol

Lol,Carole, the secret is to totally ignore the pained expression, rolling of the eyes upwards, accompanied by a very deep sigh...and make them wait..smiling as you say," Right,I'm ready"...

I love Crocosmias: I have quite a few in the garden including some yellow ones. I find that they are not as thuggish as some of the orange/red ones.

So do I Gd,and they are quite compact.I have the red'lucifer' ones at the back of the border, which look good, but have to split them most years, and I have to stake some of them, and tie them to the Pyracantha branches,as they get so top heavy. Some are supported by shrubs in front of them,so ok.
