Delonix Thanks for all your advice Delonix and since October have ben giving last years plant 14 hours complete darkness.It has rewarded us by producing vivid red bracts on new shoots ! So pleased and will post a photo in a couple of weeks !

Yes, they do grow much faster and fuller in the ground
than in any pot.

David, i agree. It's great to see these things in their natural habitat.
Such a shame that these poor things end up in the rubbish bags of most folks homes a few days after xmas :-(((((
