Michaella, I can't see that it matters what type of pot you use. Just since they vary in size to support all the dirt and flowers. I chose terra cota because it kinda blends in with the brick of my house. From a distance (and just a quick glance) it looks as if the flowers are growing out of the wall (an unplanned side effect.) lol
