Looks lovely Sheilabub...

Thank you Lin - it's certainly better than the old Cotoneaster bush. And hopefully will look better when everything's a bit taller!

That looks really good, I love the gravel, it shows off the plants beautifully and they are gorgeous plants - I have the green/gold sorbaria but I have seen the sambuccus nigra - it is a wonderful and stunning plant.

Thanks Sticki. At least they're having a good start in life with all this rain. :)

Yes, that's true, it's very close with thick dark cloud here today ~ supposed to be better tomorrow? We are off to London tomorrow ~ will see both sons which is always good! I have a new dress for the occasion!

25 Jun, 2011

Wow . . . how lovely . . . family reunion?! A dress sounds a good plan - forecast is for 27 degrees! Hope you have a great day.

I'm hoping the air con is working in the car! It was youngest son's birthday yesterday.

25 Jun, 2011

I hope so for your sake, Sticki - air con in the car is wonderful! Had mine on today and the windows open: open gardens day in a local village, so was glad I could go in flip-flops. Crazy weather - yesterday was sweaters, today it's suncream. :)

It was sweltering, traffic was horrendous! In the car for six and a half hours today!

26 Jun, 2011

Oh no!! Poor you . . . that's no fun at all. I hate traffic, and am going to London this week by train . . . mind you the Tube is no fun either! As we're a bit "off message" I'll PM you . . .

This looks lovely Sheila, very fresh and tidy at the moment, but soon it will be lush and beautiful and colourful! :)) Still miserable here.....weeks now, and no sign of any change at all....sob, sob, sniffle! ;)

Have you got sun today Sheila? I thought we were going to have a nice day but it's hot, humid and cloudy and it keeps spotting with rain!

27 Jun, 2011

Poor Karen . . . I send a sympathetic hug. :(

Sticki, clear blue sky and sunshine this morning, then clouded over but very humid with a few spots like you. Thermometer says 28 degrees.

27 Jun, 2011

Kent apparently had 33 degrees!
It's quite nice here now but it's too late for the gardening - OH has a bridge game here and I don't want them watching me!

27 Jun, 2011

I've got the central heating on!!

27 Jun, 2011

Unbelievable! No wonder we Brits talk about the weather!

Nice view from this side too Sheila...

Thanks Sue. The Panicum has grown the most . . . thought the black Elder would grow tall, but it has just flopped sideways!

Perhaps you'll have to stake it...if you prefer it to stand up...:o)) sorry I wasn't being flippant...lol..

3 Aug, 2011

I don't think I'm that bothered really, Sue, just bemused. I'll leave it to do its own thing for now . . .

:o))
