Hi Janey, and thanks for your help! I continue to stumble around this new forum, learning my way as I go! I've been trying to find photos of your cottage, which you bought 18 months ago. We gardeners are always eager to see anything "English"! This photo has charm (I might consider removing the owl and snail and just sticking to pots and containers). However, you mention wanting to cover up your "old brick". I would kill for "old brick"! And it's so expensive where I live that I can just forget it! I envy you your old brick! <grin>

Hi Nancy.....Well...fancy wanting old brick....when I want old stone! We have two neatly stacked piles..that sometime I'm hoping to make a path of......but if I could send them to you...I would LOL. I only posted pics of the garden....this year we're hoping to re-face the front of the cottage....but I'll post a pic so you can see it now....then you'll see why it needs re-facing!!
I'm very interested to know what a typical Swiss garden is like (apart from all the alpine beds) :o)
