Lovely photo. We used to have a very large dog fox walk the land when we had the smallholding years ago. He was very brazen and would walk right in front of you.
2 Feb, 2009
This one is very wary Lindak.........
2 Feb, 2009
They are such beautiful creatures, sometimes with a sly way too, as years ago a fox had all my chickens, so we buried them in the bank and he still came back and dug them out gradually for his family to feed on. I didn't condemn him though as it's natuire isn't it and when the needs must, the animal kills to survive.
3 Feb, 2009
Exactly my sentiments too Lindak.....I may give treats now and then, but no way would I feed him every day...
3 Feb, 2009
It is a shame that they will kill all the chickens and probably only take one - but its their instinct isnt it.
3 Feb, 2009
Yes it is a shame .....They just seem to kill what is alive for the fun of it, not because they need the food.
3 Feb, 2009
Oh my! Isn't he stunning~ Lucky you! You really got wonderful pics of him!
11 Feb, 2009
Thanks Shannon yes we are lucky................
11 Feb, 2009
I thought that they would cache the food for future dinners...If you find any dead chooks under the hedge you know who to blame, aye?
16 Feb, 2009
~heard two foxes out the back lane earlier Milky~what a racket! two different voices altogether! They don't come into the garden because we have high fences and gates but they are just outside the gate sometimes ~and I see them quite often in the woods!
Do you sit and wait for Freddy or has he got regular times?
Hywel
~got some pink and purple hellebores ready to open soon but there are a lot still got a long way to go~never mind we will just have them later!
17 Feb, 2009
Lori everything goes....not even found a chook leg lying around afterwards ...and Arlene.....I do tend to watch out of the back window.upstairs, when Ray goes off to work, which is usually about 6 am ,.....but then I go back to bed for a while......He doesnt seem to want to show his face during the day at the moment.........
17 Feb, 2009
