Strawberry pot

Thats a good start ... I have several cracked pots ,, I'm annoyed that one of the birds drinking bowls has cracked all the way round and is leaking , it was quite expensive because I wanted it to last , also I feel sure it was suppose to be frostproof :o(

What a shame Amy, I have two planters one of which is also shattered with the frost, its annoying when they are susposed to be frost proof isnt it. Like you say they are expensive, I think the glazed ones are more hardy I havent lost one yet, although I do prefer Terracotta.

I think you might be right Carole , someone else said that ,,, hubby is going to make some cement to spread round the inside and hope it joins it together ... it's worth a try .. ....

Mmm, must try a strawberry pot! :-) Looks good. We can put just about any strawberry out up here, and most are pretty tough, to cold that is. I couldn't place the spot, now I see this! Just the thing!

Amy hope it works for you, remember my birdbath that was cracking and leaking, Harry put some cement around that, it didnt cure the leak but at least its holding together.

Thanks Eileen they do make a nice feature whether you plant them with strawberries or flowers!

They're quite hardy aren't they Carole........I put my pot of strawberry plants in the greenhouse and they have been flowering still. The pot makes a lovely feature and if you didn't have strawberries, you could plant it up with herbs.....:o)

: O ) they said on tv we are going to have an early spring so not too far away hopefully.

My strawberry pot is a bit like yours (yes, I got it planted up - pics later). The little cups for holding the plants in aren't very deep with the result I had to do some shoring up of soil with bits of broken pot. It seems to work as it's holding the soil and water in but it was obviously something hubby (a non gardener) didn't think about!
