One of my dogwoods is by our security light and when we go out to the garage at night the red stems glow in the spotlight especially against the snowy ground!

Yes, your right, Paul, it is a Salix 'Hakura Nishiki' - a lovely little lollipop shape which the sparrows seem to love diving in and out of.

Yes, there's lots of bird activity in my Salix(same as your one) at the moment.Long tailed tits, Blue Tits and Sparrows. I moved my nesting box into it a few weeks ago and I'm hoping the Blue tits might be considering moving in for Spring. They keep having a look!
