Wonderful colour I seen one this colour today at Wye Vale Garden Centre they wanted £22.99 for it I nearly fell out my chair when Aldi were selling them for £4.00 a few weeks back.

Thanks all , 3p I'm shocked at the price of plants /shrubs in some of these garden centres ,I must have left thousands of pounds worth of mature shrubs etc. in my last garden ...

Yes you must of Amy they also put a lot of value on the house and property my nephew owns an estate agents in Tiverton where he lives it was he who told me.
I said to my grandson when I left empty handed no wonder Wye Vale are closing their stores £4.00 just for 6 violas in a punnet for £3. 00 I could get 10 from Aldi when they have them in that's what I went for.

I agree 3p you have to shop around for the best buys We,ve found a carboot place not too far away where they sell trays of plants for a fraction of the price of Garden centres .

I think because of the like of supermarkets like Morris ons Aldi Tesco Lidal also your car boots selling far cheaper plants they are no longer getting so much foot fall so they are putting up the prices to cover their loss.

That really is a fabulous colour Amy!

I bought 6 very lovely deep cherry red geraniums with very dark leaf, and a good size for £2:99, then when paying you could take 6 lobelia plants free.. Their bedding is always good and reasonable, but have lunch there and crumbs it is expensive!

That's a beautiful deep colour & a great capture.

I think GC's are pricing themselves out of the market, I think some of its due to their overheads & staffing costs, it didn't used to be this way once.

Thanks everyone I'm very pleased with it it was a tiny plant on a sale shelf when I bought it without a name ..
I agree Mari some of the big GC's are more interested in selling anything else but plants ..
