Lots of blooms this year. Some protection last winter but do not usually protect them. Apart from being under a canopy.

oh, wow, that's lovely. that's the difference between looking up a plant in a book and seeing picstures of the actual thing - and since I joined GoY my "want!" list has been growing and growing ...

I bought the front blue pot from a small nursery near Saffron Walden. I was told not to keep them too moist. Yesterday I put the back fuzzy one out in the rain and it has firmed up a lot. Back under cover now. My Olive is not in picture just to the right....under top cover but outside. Good job they are under cover.....just hurled it down for about 20 minutes!!!

same here; been belting down on and off, usually on and usually just when I've decided that it's safe to go out and do something - *s* I don't have any covered space

So pleased to have seen your plants , as l have some in a log type cement planter , l did not know the name for them , l do not touch them only to water in the summer , l have thought about growing them on elsewhere as they seem a bit crowded in such little dirt space . they are displayed at the front of my bungalow by my front door , l have had them there for about six years .

Thanks Fusspot. I think that's the longist interval I have ever had on a comment, when the last one was 2011! The echevaria still surviving, the hairy leaved ones, are shown up to date in my last blog for Jan/Feb 2016. I have only one pot of smooth ones left.
