Blue Hyacinths

Blue Hyacinths (Hyacinth)

Pity this wasn't "smellyvision" as some wiseacre once remarked or we would all be reeling from this little bowl of Blue Hyacinths....too heady for some folk I know - but nevertheless another welcome cheery corner - at this time of year.

Yes - just five little bulbs and the resulting scent fills the house. My poor lady-wot -does (since I no longer can!) has to remove them forthwith - as she can't cope and remarked yesterday that apart from the perfume being SO strong - they remind her of funerals!!!!!

Yes - I got a surprise too!! I had sent some baskets from T&M this past Xmas to friends and they reported that theirs all did a double flowering too.....so there must be a new strain that does this.....being an Aberdonian - I am all for it ...LOL
