Lovely Janette.A neighbour of ours wants to know what to do with hers when it stops flowering.Have you any advice please ?

Thanks Bonkers when this stopped flowering for the first time I cut the stem back and just gave it a feed with orchid food every three of four weeks and then , gave it distiled water just enough to keep it from drying completely out ,hope that helps your friend ,dont know if that was the right thing to do ..but hey it,s still thriving as is the others treated the same way....

Put my orchids in the shade house last summer but this summer they've been as neglected as all my other plants...they're still in my kitchen window...they seem to be ok...but I'm hoping they'll put out a flush of bloom...fingers crossed! Never thought of trying demineralized water...do you think that's the ticket? Congratulations...wonderful things aren't they?
