That's a really beautiful shot...Rachel and I both think this could win a prize!

Thanks everyone. Karen you and Rachel are both biased, this butterfly was going around and around in circles to get the nectar from the centre of the inula flower. Quite strange watching it, like a little dance, had to get the camera quick.

What a fantastic photo Oliveoil. It just goes to show how attractive these flowers are to Butterflies (and Bees). :-)

It certainly does Muddy, it was a large butterfly as well, must have been feeding them up. lol. Strange how some are smaller than others, this was a whopper. I have found a different lense on the camera and it helps to show off the plants and colours better than the automatic button I was using. I am learning all the time about the camera only had it two years, not before time eh!!! Trial and error. :o)

I was only just saying to Karen - after years with the camera I am only just getting to grips with the different lenses on it. It wasn't an expensive one but I liked it because it was quite chunky, I am not into these really small thin ones, I have big hands and they are not best suited to using anything small. But found the instruction manual having mislaid it as you do, so will have a read again and try and take instructions on board. lol. that will be quite a task for me I hate reading and following instructions much rather practice and regret later.

I'm like that too...recently I found that my Camera had a mode for changing the photo up the right way when you take long shot...before I was doing it on the PC lol..now I can do it in seconds duh
