I have a field of them next to my back lawn...very pretty..we call them Nootka Rose

Not heard of them called that Cat. Their correct name is Rosa canina. I guess like many things, they have local names. Your field must be full of insects, especially bees as they love these flowers.

Bees and Birds..yep..other small wildlife like them too..but stay hidden in the undergrowth...I see their little trails underneath but rarely see them.
