pond early summer 2009

In high summer I keep the green tub standing with water. After its been standing for about 5 days I can top up the pond without adding chemicals if the level has dropped in hot weather and if not needed it can go on the garden

Your garden is lovely. All your photos are great. You must have been a good nurse to have made such a lovely garden, nursing everything along so well.

Thank-you Mad I loved nursing for 40 years. I think gardeners are carers not unlike nurses. As most of what they care for recovers, some do not, some you wish to forget some you never forget. But mostly its done with love. Over the years I've tucked up patients, then my children now its my garden. I hope you are not grieving too much for your old garden as the new one needs your care now.

I agree with all the above. Who would want to be indoors, when they have such a lovely garden to spend time in. :~)

Thank-you Drfadi - this is the bit outside my back door. Its very different to yours because of the climate. We have not had any rain in my part of the UK for over 6 weeks though.

Its raining today and cooler the garden is lapping it up.
