Beautiful Spritz. :~))

Thanks. It has kept on flowering for ages!

What great value for this time of year when so little else is flowering. How big is the plant please.

22 Nov, 2009

Hmmm....not more than 15" tall and wide. Maybe less - but it's dark and raining, so I'm not off out to measure it! Sorry.......lol.

Nice and compact then - very useful as well as beautiful.

22 Nov, 2009

Oh yes, they are. I've got two of these white ones, and a pale lilac one.

they really give their all don't they :)

Thanks Spritz. Another one gone to favourites. I'll look for this one.

Again - you won't regret it, Toto!

Which one have you got, Grindle?

Thanks, Sandra. :-)

not sure Spritz, I'll have a look tomorrow and see if I can find the label

23 Nov, 2009

Label? What's that? lol. I can never find them......hmmm....hopeless. :-(((

That's why I rely on my plant list on GOY - until I completely forget the poor plant's name as well! I will have to start my Gardener's Log again. (a useful book)....I kept it going for two years, but haven't filled it in for months and months.

Delicate and very pretty flowers!

i have a lilac parahebe. it can spread quite wide but i cuts back well. i like the clarity of this one.

23 Nov, 2009

My lilac one needs more sun (don't we all!) so it isn't thriving as well as the white ones. I may have to move it.

LOL the labels get blown away frequently in the wind, but I have a box with lots of them in, then I try and match them up

24 Nov, 2009

I have, too - but delving in there and spreading them all over the floor takes an age!

24 Nov, 2009

I bet Henry thinks that's a game just for him, lol.

lovely pic
can we start a discussion on the ideal way to keep details of plants and their dates of purchase etc?

I would be interested to know how you designed your log, spritz!

shall we do it as a log or a question - what do people think?

I just need some ideas. I started drawing maps of the garden in sections on card and then keeping the relevant labels for each section together. I had quite a shock recently when I revisited it all and found how many plants I had lost in 8 years, mainly due to bad drainage in the winter.

But this system doesnt work so well when I dont have labels - eg plants from internet sites etc. I now keep a notebook with the names of new plants.

I don't see why not, R'smum....that's a topic for you - I will join in, happily! :-))) Definitely calls for a blog....

27 Nov, 2009

Good -
I will start a blog, but it will have to wait a little while Spritz, I am up to my eyes in work and Christmas preps. Should be easier next week :-))

27 Nov, 2009

I'll look forward to that - maybe it'll spur me into being more organised again. I think that re-starting my log MUST be my New Year's resolution! :-)) It did help a lot when I kept it up-to-date!

Another one for my "get" list Spritz. Thanks.

10 Dec, 2009

LOL. How long is your list, Ponty?

10 Dec, 2009

As long as it takes, Spritz. Retirement gives me all the time in the world to make improvements and add plants next Spring & Summer.

10 Dec, 2009

So true! :-)))
