26 Apr, 2009
No worries Sbg thanks for info - a lot of a guess as came in bargain multi pack tulip pink was only description not even pink ! Thought Angelique had this type of edging to it ..if anyone has similar love to hear from you !
Think Im in for a struggle with all the others then .. perhaps just stick to colours lol

I have this problem all the time. my mixed daffs were a nightmare but i have id'd one of them as st patricks day. I tend to use the bulb catalogues to help name them especially if i can remember where they came from originally.
you have to take so much on trust.
my white magic aqueligea are very pink! I grew them from seed too.

If I were a betting man I'd say they were Triumph Tulip 'Shirley ', but I'm not, so it could be one of a hundred or so that look almost identical.....lol. So let's all take a vote on naming them either, 'Blushing Jane,' or 'Bonker's Beauties'. What do you say y'all........ ?
27 Apr, 2009
Wonderful Jerrie - thats it I declare I have a new variety .. sure to guarantee someone will say oh no you dont its a ...
27 Apr, 2009
I don't know about you Bonkers, but over the years I've started to develop a little problem called 'selective hearing'. It actually comes in handy at times...lol
I also have some tulips in the garden right now, that came from the same pack, but aren't all alike. Used to bother me when I was younger but know I'm just tickled to death when they all come up and bloom. Guess I'm mellowing with age....lol. If that were really the case, I should be in a coma by now.....;-)
27 Apr, 2009
Yep really used to bother me what people thought and spent years trying to please and rarely did ! So now its what the hell - I havent done anything you could imprison me for but please dont get in front of me at the petrol station and go and buy your groceries while I m waiting to fill up ... now that I could kill for ! Other than that I m an O k sort of guy lol
27 Apr, 2009
I think it could be Shirley, Bonkersbon, or a form of.
27 Apr, 2009
LMAO......, the more you talk the more you sound like you could be my long lost kin.... ! I go from Dr Jeckel to Mr. Hyde when behind the wheel of a car.... God help anybody who pulls right out in front of me, when there's not anyone behind me on the road ! I'm going to ride so far up their *ss they'll think they've just had an enema.....lol. I'm going to get killed doing that one of these days......;-)
28 Apr, 2009
Note to self - dont take a mouthful of coffee before reading your comments ! OMG dont know what image had me laughing the most - your driving habits or the fact we may be related ! I do have relatives in NC thats true ..
Please promise me you ll never get behind the wheel if you visit this country ! I thought flowercrazy meant your were crazy about flowers now I know you re the crazy woman who loves to grow them ..lol.
Please stay safe though .. you never know whos in the car in front or what they have in the glovebox !
28 Apr, 2009
LOL.... Hope you didn't scald yourself..... Believe it or not I have been told before that I really know how to paint a pretty picture with my words. (comment dripping with sarcasm...lol). Next time I feel the need to share too much information, I'll make sure and warn you first, okay.... (well maybe)...lol.
Hubby hates to ride with me for that very reason, says he always leaves deep indentions in my car seat from his cheeks trying to find something to hold on to...lol. Oops sorry, (TMI), forgot to warn you again, didn't I.

Beautiful tulip.whatever it called....
28 Apr, 2009
He he Flower sounds like Roger and Jane have more in common having to contend with us two ! Beautifully described ...lol
Thanks Janette keep buying these bargain bulbs and plants with little information other than colour and even thats not always accurate ..
28 Apr, 2009
Even when you buy bulbs with names BB they dont always come true .I bought some Blue Parrot Tulip bulbs ,been waiting for them to open ...expecting a nice blue tulip, what did I get... some black parrot tulips ,like the ones I have aready... try again next year for the some blue ones.
28 Apr, 2009
Perhaps they were Norwegian blue parrots Janette I d take them back to the shop and insist they were deceased , past it , shuffled off this mortal coil ...if the chap tells you he thinks they are pining for the fjords you stand your ground and insist on a refund !
