Hello GM. I'm glad you have joined us here in the mad mad mad mad world of GoY. You will find that a good percentage of us on here are quite mad !! And not just about gardening. And those of us who are not mad, are definitely slightly cracked.
You will probably find GoY highly addictive so be prepared to spend many hours posting photos, writing blogs, asking and answering questions, reading other peoples comments, blogs and questions, cruising through the photographs etc etc etc.

Thanks to you all. I feel really welcome on this site. It is a brilliant sunny day here after yesterdays snow - bet we have more snow in our garden than any others around though as my son made snowmen last night that are so big they will last till June!
It is very cold today though so I think I will just wrap up warm and start spreading some more compost.

Bonkersbon I feel your pain! I garden whenever I get a minute (actually a sunny hour today) and all sorts of things go through my mind till I'm sure I am quite mad. On sunday I was out until there was so much snow on me I was blending in with the scenery. It seems the most frequent thread recently is singing hymns - does anyone else do this - I am not a religious zealot or anything; perhaps it is because my dad was always quoting that poem that end with you are nearer to God in a garden than anywhere else on earth. If there is a deathly silence now I will know I've been written off??

I sum times Hum 2 myself while gardening Gardenmad :) i am thinking of buying a small radio 2 have in Greenhouse as i do enjoy music like yourself :) I do have a MP3 but i like 2 be able 2 hear other stuff 2 :)

Hi Gardenmad, I was wondering if you were o.k. Glad you have turned up again. I don't sing out loud, but tunes go round in my head. There are some wonderful hymn tunes, the devil doesn't have all the best music.

Humming, singing, dancing in the garden. I would expect nothing less from this crowd!

I went in the greenhouse for the first time today - it is really dirty but the smell and the warmth just hit me (the sun was out) and reminded me how much I love being in there when the weather is cold outside. I have no heating on at the moment and the overnight temp is probably sub zero tonight but it does remind you that summer is a coming!!
