Actaea simplex previously Cimicifuga simplex.
Common name here is black snakeroot .
It's living in the pot (for many years) and I just moved it under the roof. It is a striking plant and and one of the favourite,

Me too. I have a couple but they're not particularly thriving in my border.

Very pretty flowers. They remind me of sparklers.

Yes, we've been under the wrath of storm Zeta for the last couple days dumping torrents of rain with that ominous howling sound I can't stand. Sounds like derisive laughter. Just for kicks it decided to snow dump on us, ugghh! Yes, need lots of hot chocolate. I hope this isn't a precursor of what to expect this winter. I just seeded a new lawn, hope it's not ruined. lol life goes on! Good times!

Looks quite magical - the lighting seems just right doesn't it?

That's beautiful Klahanie, loving the contrasting colours. The tail end of your storm Zeta heading our way for Sunday Bathgate after another, storm Aiden, hits us today.

Thank you. This storm is a cold one with snow sleet and torrential rain for days. Hot Chocolate for sure-and hot apple pie for good measure.

Like the aubergine plummy coloured stalks and stems, it really highlights the pretty little white flowers. New one to me.
