They do make a lovely show though are inclined to be a bit 'rampant'.

A bit like the Japanese anenome I have a white one and that is very ivasive.

I keep hearing that they are rampant but I've had mine planted for two years now and still no flowers! Could I be doing something wrong? They are at the back of a sunny border but quite close to a wall. Otherwise everything else around it is doing well. Should I give it a feed do you think? They really look lovely especially as they last so long into Autumn.

I think this is a very pretty plant. I've just planted a root of it in a new border and then read it was an invasive plant. The one I have planted is pink and looks just like this one. Have you any idea what is the difference between this and the Japanese Anemone?

I can't think why you're having a problem, Reebeesfleurs - they are happy in sun or part shade, well-drained/light, dry or moist soil. They do like a rich soil and appreciate a mulch in autumn.
I think the full name of the Japanese anemone is Anemone hupehensis var. japonica so it is just a variety of hupehensis, Troddles.
