I've been looking at this picture then the name....thinking I'm sure I had this but don't remember that name - just checked - I have them down as Tritelia. Lovely blue Drc x

Yes Scottish it is confusing use to be known by its scientific name Triteleia laxa now it is known as Brodiaea laxa.

mine always flower about now, but darned things don't throw up the leaves until they finished flowering.

Thats interesting 2ndhand so I looked them up and I found this - The large 2” beautiful, sky-facing, purple-blue trumpets are held in loose clusters above stiff leafless stems (after grassy leaves die back).
I will have to go out and have another look and see if the thick leaves seen here in fact belong to something else?

Mine are just beginning to die off and form seeds , my leaves are lying flat on the ground as though they to are dying back , your leaves look right to me Denise !
