It been brill here as'nt it Sandra, makes a change for us does'nt it, you know why its nice dont you, its because i covered my patio table up the other week, so i'm keeping it covered up, so we get some more, could get use to this weather.

your right carol, it has made a change, lovely, not done anything today in garden though, didnt feel up to it, keep that table under wraps lol

I've cleared the tomatoe plants as thee was'nt many left on them, and cleared my greenhouse out. Table definetly staying under cover.

good work carol, whats going in there next

Will be things to overwinter out of frost, then start about feb with seeds, when i do my tomatoe and cucomber seeds, i'll do enough so you can have some, this year was the first time i'd done cucumbers, and they are dead easy to do, and taste brill.

sounds good carol, im going to give tomatoes a go next year to, might try them hanging ones in baskets

That's a cracking pic San....
Never heard of these....poor novice I know!! Look nice though!
15 Sep, 2009
thanx Dan they are an old fashioned flower, cottage garden, i think vicorian era, dont quote me though but im sure they were on a program i watched on victoian gardens , lots of differant colours to :o)
15 Sep, 2009
How tall do they grow and better for border or pot - as in looks wise?
15 Sep, 2009
i think better in border amongst other plants, they can get really tall , up to 4 or 5 ft some, but mine are only a year old so not tall yet so i put them inbetween for some height, just dont put any low growers behind them, not seen them in pots
15 Sep, 2009
With the border I'm hoping to dig over in a few weeks ready for Spring, you will be able to see from both sides as it is along the path with the grass the other side so planting a few in the middle might be nice with low ones either side.....Just wish I had more space to plant but I'll manage, I'm sure!!
Thanks for that

They are beautiful plants , never had much joy with them as they have always been eaten away, but this year I have a rescued one in a pot [white] so I am going to risk planting out once it has finished flowering, and fingers crossed next year could be a good one all around!
