That's a lovely big shrub , I have one called Peach blossom it's flowering for the first time ,it will be a long time before it is the size of yours Drc ...

Yes it will be awhile Amy,but it will be worth it, I have to trim this quite a bit now but only once a year.

I trim mine after its flowered as by then its bending all over the place and it gets nice again for the winter Amy but you can in the autumn. Just dont do it in spring or you will lose lots of flowers.
