Like Sixpence said, we have these at Christmas, as indoor plants, and they need a favourable position. I was quite amazed when we holidayed in Hawaii a few years back, to see them growing as hedges. :o))

Appreciate your comments ... yes these are now in a garden bed. I bought them just last year as quite small plants to replace the two I'd lost a few years back. Outdoors here they grow to be the size of large shrubs ... looking forward to that as I was missing the wonderful display these plants give during our Winter.
