I remember wanting Exochorda The Bride and deciding it was going to be too big for the space. Now I dont have the space but 100 years on after The Bride was grown someone has come up with a small version of the plant. Its wondeful.

That's a beauty, Scottish.
Btw, Scotsgran, I have an Exochorda 'the bride' in a pot, and it's only 18" - 2ft.

That is interesting Sheila, at the time I was still working and did not have time to tend pots. They only came along as I have retired and aged a bit. I planted Spirea Bridal wreath instead. It is now running about all over the place so it is going to need a severe cut back this year after it flowers.

Well, Bridal Wreath is just as beautiful!

it was but I did let it send runners out all over the place. I'm going to cut it back very hard to one plant and see if it will recover.

Another new one on me! That's three in a row tonight - I'll have to stop looking, my wish list is too long already!
