Thanks all!
Better late than never I suppose.................

How on earth do you do it without a conservatory Meanie? I've always loved this plant. They were selling it in the streets of Amsterdam last May when we were there....very tempting!

This vine isn't all that easy to grow even here in subtropical, San Diego. You are very lucky to get one to grow so well!

Kasy; sorry, I meant to add that I can't as it's a listed building.
Thanks Delonix. I suggest that it may be too dry for them to do well in SoCal? They like water when in growth.

Meanie:
In my case, I think it's the soil. They like better fertile soil (we can always water). I have seen some and have read the tubers here can be left in the ground all year.
I did have one, once. It was pretty slow...but, did grow and bloomed for two years (of course, it died back the end of fall and regrew in spring).

I keep forgetting that mine are repotted every spring..............
21 Aug, 2012
Do you store the tubers?
22 Aug, 2012
no worries Meanie:) I think the greenhouse would do a trick as well:)
22 Aug, 2012
I just dry the pot out and store frost free Delonix. Then I repot them in the spring.
