Hepatica forest series purple

Hepatica forest series purple (Hepatica)

Inspired by Bjs and Naoto's pictures - the first flower opened today. It needs a home in the garden but with the changeable weather it hasn't had a chance yet!

Not sure how you will fare with it in the garden the few I have planted out are always light on flowers most being eaten by what ever critter is passing that way.
The Forest series is a new one on me do you know who raised them.

Thanks Sticki - good old cellphone again! It's much better at these kind of close-ups!

That's what I was worrying about Brian - I've taken in all the comments you have made on many of your pictures and blogs. I've no idea on who raised them - I tried googling to find out a wee bit more but very little available. All I can find is that they are available in pink, white, blue and purple. I thought it should have had another name along with it eg noblis but can't find it.
Here's what Binny's says about it....
"Forest series with purple flowers and some nice silver veination on the leaves. For moist light shade, very choice and slow, so do not disturb once planted"

Interesting do not Disturb,Some of the first ones I grew in pots are not flowering very well this year so re-pot they will have to have, they have been potted on several times but the root ball was left more or less intact ,
Have read recently to break them up and discard old hard material ,will let you know what I find in a few weeks.
