Iris reticulata

Iris reticulata (Iris reticulata)

I can't remember the name of this one - it is in flower in my back garden.

Nice picture, looks like you stumbled upon it in a jungle!

Yes, it was half-buried in Solanum laxum leaves. They have been dropping off since the frost. The plant itself seems to have survived - and it's nearly time to cut it back. I just have to get round to clearing the leaves - gently and by hand, no raking, because there are little yellow crocuses poking through under there too.

I'm looking forward to seeing my new saffron crocuses flower. Shouldn't be long now and my camera's charged and ready :-)

Wow. Can't wait for my bulbs to start doing something. So far only a few crocus leaves poking through.

What an exotic Iris. I've just put some bulbs in on Sunday. They were a bargain 50p a bag! I hope they look 'something' like this, I'll be over the moon!

Just lovely! I wish i had more success with iris bulbs in my garden. I guess they don't like the ground sort.
