The best display for several years I think

Sticki - I've found a sunny spot and regular removal of the old, flowered wood seems to promote the best results

ah, sunny spot ~ that must be the problem, thanks andrew, will search the garden for a spot with more sun

I think the pruning is more important than the sun. Mine is quite shaded but thrives when old wood is pruned out every second year.
