Hi Gardengnome - this Bay is about 11 or 12 years old. It was grown (I think from seed) by the husband of a very dear friend. He, unfortunately, died about 10 years ago and she gave me the little plant (and a number of others) when she had to move. He was a brilliant plantsman and I learnt a lot from him.

I snip this into shape a couple of times a year. Its not difficult - the hard bit was done by my lovely friend!

It looks very beautiful Gee.
Is it in a pot?
Few month ago a friend of mine gave me a cutting in a little pot, it looks like it's rooting ( finger crossed).

No it't not in a pot, Ualda. I moved it a couple of time because it didn't seem happy but it has been in the present spot for about 8-9 years. Good luck with your little plant. I've never tried taking a cutting but it sounds like a good idea - will remember next time I prune mine.
