It's rather a strange flower, but not unattractive.

I've seen them when they are fully-grown Eileen - quite spectacular!
I hope the floods don't get this. It's in a pot with stones in and also anchored with wire to a large stone, sunk in to the bank!

Well, it has been submerged twice already and has survived, so I am hopeful. It would be great to have a HUGE one, wouldn't it! I don't dare plant another one as I wouldn't have a clue as to spacing.

It is said to be invasive, but I have not seen it get that bad.

I think our climate holds them in check. It is interesting on American sites just how many plants are invasive with them but not with us, e.g. Euonymus altatus!!!
