They grow along the forest margin...beautiful lacy green and sweet smelling. This is definitely an Osmunda...but not sure if it's cinnamomea or claytoniana...

Another plant which has astonished me, Gt. There are all different varieties here...osmunda, maidenhair, Lady fern, bracken, and a beautiful triangular leaf type called sensitive fern. Have to do some photographing of the many types of mosses! It is a walk down memory lane every day...My dad used to take us on rambles in the wood lot and show us all the interesting peculiarities of the wild life...flora and fauna...I enjoyed our rambles then, and wish he was here today to see our new place. So much to see and learn! loving it!
