Plumeria 'Thai'

Plumeria 'Thai' (Plumeria 'Thai')

My Thai Plumeria with flowers in the rain. We're finally getting some rain in severely drought-stricken San Diego, CA. Yay! Photo taken on November 21, 2016.

Beautiful Delonix. We had about a month's worth of rain in a couple of hours last week, shame we can't send you some. (Storm Angus)

Thorneyside:

Thank you! :>))

Wow! That's a lot of rain! I wish you could send us some of that rain. This severe 6 year drought is killing an estimated over 100 million trees is California. I've lost several plants myself due to water restrictions.

Tropical flowerers are just about ready to hit dormancy for me. Hibiscus and Mandevilla are on last flowers.
Lots of rain..and the temps have been like in perpetual no change...60H 45L. Darn last leafs cant be moved--soaking wet to the ground and stuck. We need some dry.

Stan,

Many of the tropical tree are flowering now. Hong Kong Orchids, Caliiandra and so much more are in full bloom.

I heard there's been 140 percent of normal rain up in most of Northern California. That's great! We're still below normal. However, the ground looks wet. So, I don't have to water for a little while. Yay!

It's cooling down here, also. High: 71ºF - Low: 49 yesterday. It's feeling a little chilly.

Dottydaisy2:

Thanks! :>)

We need to get much more rain to make a dent in the drought. It's a decent start to the rainy season, though. We're still below average.

Lori,

Yes, we had some good showers last week. We're still below average rainfall; however, any rain is good rain. :>))

It's getting to the end of the Plumeria flowering season...even though I've seen several large plumerias in bloom around my neighborhood. Most plumerias will loose most of their leaves by the first of the year. My large Plumeria in the ground is the exception. It looses most of its leaves in early February and leafs out late, around late April or early May.

I hope the moisture gives then a boost!

Lori,

It was nice while it lasted. To date we are a bit below average, now. Hopefully, we will get a lot more rain! We need it so badly!
