They've been the best Tog.....I keep expecting to have to pull these up especially with the gale force winds and lashing rains we've had this week, but like yours they seem to be weather proof....:o))

Reckon you are San.......if it wasn't so much work, I wouldn't have any grass, just pebble paths through the gardens with different areas to sit. Next year though I'm changing the border these are in to one for drought resistant plants mulched with pebbles. We've spent so much on watering this year and its so time consuming isn't it, you could be at it all day....and now we've pup....I won't have time...Lol!

i may have a small border on the boggy part of my grass and have bog plants for a change, going to have a good think first, but one part gets water logged and in semi shade, enjoy the puppy janey, they grow so fast dont they, your garden is lovely anyway, but as all of us we always looking for something more ;o))

Is this a hardy rudbeckia Janey or one of the annuals? It is a beauty!

Thanks Anchorman.....I've a feeling they're annuals....I bought a tray of 6 from a fete and they've been the best buy ever....shall be growing more though next year...:o))

Have you ever tried gazanias. They're wonderful plants sold as annuals so quite cheap but in milder winters they survive all year around. I'll see if I can post a photo

I've just posted a photo of a gazania in my photos section.
