I can understand a plant flowering indoors in this weather, but outside like Andrew's Sarcococca. Must have thought there were some bees around to intoxicate.

I bought this on Tuesday from a scruffy little gc but he has some lovely little gems there. Sadly I didn't plan to visit it was during a day out and we pulled in to find out if we could scrounge some water for the car wash bottle. Didn't know it existed and I just hope OH can remember where it was so I can go back with money.
the scent is incredibly strong. It is now out side next to the back door after I repotted it. My other S.confusa flowers regularly but I cant smell it. I can this one though wow!
wish I could bottle it.

Scruffy Gc and nurseries, often have little treasures, too busy propagating plants to worry about becoming big and brash, and attracting instant gratification gardeners.

That is so true Siris. I have had some real gems from this sort of place in the past.

I have two of these, their perfume is likened to a woman walking past and then you get a whiff of her perfume. Beautiful.

Lovely, I have one but needs to get going. Do you have a Daphne, I feel I need one but I don't know what variety to go for?

I have several daphnes and they are all wonderful. I find the evergreen ones better than the deciduous one.

A gem of a plant.......might invest in another variety.
