Skimmia japonica starting to flourish....I hope.

This potted skimmia has started to perk up this year. It has struggled for the past few years. I was thinking of planting it in the garden, but, I’ve decided to hold off and see how it goes.

Thanks Ange, I’ve another fine in a pot in a shadier area. The latter hasn’t flowered, but is very lush.
I do agree, you got a great bargain at Christmas with two of them.
I added the sempervivums as I had a few ‘spare’ and thought I’d try this ‘look’ and see how it goes...seems to be going fairly well!
Thanks again, Ange.

I bought a couple of these last winter, sold as Christmas decoration, and potted them on. They have scented out the greenhouse for the last few weeks, so were a real bargain. I think, like you, I will keep them in pots. Yours looks good with the sempervivums. Clever idea.
