I wish I could get coleus to flourish here in the North East of Scotland but I think it's just too cold in the main. the slugs love it though!

I've always grown coleus Davebat ... it certainly loves the heat here! I have seen photos of it growing in the southern England so it can obviously stand a bit of cooler weather ... but maybe not the northern cold, as you say.

Bernieh:
Great photo! I really like this variety of Coleus. I have it in my front yard...it only lives around 3 years or so, then I have to take cuttings and pull it out.

I got this one because my huge coleus that was the centre piece of my lots-of-pots-spot finally gave up ... as they do! I've taken cuttings of that one and hopefully one will grow to be as huge as it's parent ... but in the meantime I'm really happy with the colours on this one.

A wonderful display of colored foilage. Coleus comes in so many different patterns and colors.
