Such beautiful African Tulip trees! My African tulip tree has been flowering for 2 1/2 years straight. That's very unusual.

I just posted some pics a few days ago of some flowering here in San Diego.

You are right Hywel, we are 5,000 ft above sea level and have mountains behind us.

There are not many large tropical palms with feathery fronds native to Mexico. I'm guessing that beauty is an Oil Palm?

I have no idea Stan. There are literally thousands of palms around. Maybe not native but thriving . Sorry but when it comes to palms I am completely ignorant .
I just posted a picture for you of several palms at the other neighbour. Would you know which they are?

Just wondering. It could be a Royal Palm. Some have feathery fronds instead of the bottlebrush type fronds.

Stan, I think you're correct that's a Royal Palm. They go very well together with African Tulip trees.
