My poor Canary Creeper!!

My poor Canary Creeper!! (Tropaeolum peregrinum (Canary creeper))

I must be jinxed with these.
When I've tried them in the past I never had much reward in terms of growth or flowers. This year it grew like there was no tomorrow and then chucked out loads of flowers.
It got through a blackfly attack only for the caterpillars to come. Together we saw them off. Now in the space of TWO days it has been decimated by these flea beetles! TWO DAYS!!!
Strangely enough, they have not the slightest interest in anything else around it.

Thinking about it, my Gramp used to plant Nasturtiums with his broad beans in order to divert the blackfly. They're clearly a pest magnet!

I almost admire their efficiency in killing this in two days TG! It was a good sized plant too.

What else?

See who else is growing Tropaeolum peregrinum (Canary creeper).

See who else has plants in genus Tropaeolum.

This photo is of "Canary Creeper" in Meanie's garden
