SPRING IN THE GARDEN

Quite a few changes since moving here 8 years ago. The garden is divided by a trellis with climbing roses which somehow makes it look bigger. A couple of small ponds, though one has sprung a leak because of a self seeded salix the roots of which have pierced the lining.
Gradually I have improved previously neglected area and this here had a whole bed of lovely pink and red tulips.
I also made a little woodland area as there is very little shade here being S/W facing.
I don’t seem to be able to keep my photographs in any kind of order but will try to add some recent ones.
I seem to have added one from last year but don’t know how to delete it!

It's lovely and full and bursting at the seams! Just how I used to like my borders at our old house.

Heavy clay here too Honeysuckle, sometimes it's like trying to put a fork through a paving slab! I was watching Monty Don one afternoon and he mentioned that he was going to make a path from bricks turned on their side - so I thought I would have a go.
Thankyou Paulspatch, it's not a tidy garden but I like it.

Just my sort of garden, if only the clay soil here would co-operate! Everything is springing into life now, mostly the weeds. My plants don't like all this heat, but I've been told it's going to cool down again and we might get some rain!
Only you will know that one of the photo's is from last year, so don't worry about it, we can all try to work out from the plants in flower which one it is! See, it's a quiz. Love your paths, especially the brick and gravel one, I may well steal that idea.
