Wild flower area

Had to take a big tree down from this area and realised that it would be a good place for the greenhouse I have always wanted but didn’t have space for. A project for the end of the year so in the mean time I thought I would try some wild flowers – it has only taken a couple of months so I’m really pleased.

It’ll be alive with wildlife! Bet it’s lovely to see and hear all the bees and butterflies. Looks really pretty.

Thank you both, I have never had any success with wild flowers in the past but I think this rather poor soil suits them.

Good for the bees :)

worth while project too. yes many wildflowers do well on less well fertilized soil and the tree would have done a lot to make it so.
you'll get all sorts in there beetles too.

That looks wonderful, I have never had any luck sowing a wild garden either, over the years I have managed to gain one but only by buying plants individually and allowing them to seed themselves, it looks really pretty Ginellie...

Thank you all for your comments, I'm looking forward to more wildlife - so far just my neighbours cat who seems to love it.
