Streptocarpus - and about time
3 comments
Decades ago I bought a young Naked Lady at a jumble sale. Eventually it flowered and became an African Primrose, but I was happy with that, lovely flowers and easy to look after, often neglected, survived Vine Weevils, drought, flood but not frost.
This weekend was time for the long needed sort out, I had repotted a few time but never really thinned it out as I should have done
Here it is out of its wall basket & waiting for the operation
This is typical size of some of the cuttings
And here is the final result, about a dozen fresh plants needing homes in a few months time
Of course it never ended there, I was now hooked and went online browsing Dibleys for more, found one named “Charlotte”, same as my granddaughter so had to have that one, and a red one, and Polka Dot purple and flower of the decade.
Delivery March onwards, a new door opens.

The missing pics is a PIA, but I'm not alone on here, let's hope they pop back as easily as they vanished

I used to have half a dozen of these but they got cooked in the conservatory one summer when we were away overnight. Should consider getting some more.
