Hello everyone!
Hope you have had a lovely day in your gardens too?
It’s sunny here and a Saturday so couldn’t be better! Have been trimming and tidying and emptying finished containers and also been de-stoning my new border in front of hedge. Took some doing – it’s full of slate- but now all ready for planting bulbs. Have dug in lots of my lovely ‘home-made!’ compost and put in a few geraniums and vincas and violas. Want to get some hellebores too tomorrow before putting in the bulbs. It is a shady area but dappled shade on the right hand side and I am surprised at how damp it is as I expected it to be a dry area near the hedge. Have found a very useful garden nursery site local to me here in the west country -www.theoldwithygardennursery.co.uk. because at the end or their catalogue they list suitable plants for different areas and soils. The lady there was also very helpful in helping me choose suitable plants
and those she sent were in very good condition on arrival.
Any suggestions from all of you would be welcome – some of you have already given me encouragement and advise ,thankyou. Obviously want to have all round interest and that is something I find difficult to plan.
Must go for shower now as got rather grubby! But it’s such fun isn’t it!

It's been a lovely day here too and I got a lot done. The thing was I had so much to do I didn't know where to start, But in the end I decided it didn't matter as long as I started somewhere.
Glad you had a good day. Hope it lasts.
All the best, Hywel.

I got up on the kitchen steps and started to cut wandering vine strands out of the trees and shrubs. I had to ask for help as some of it was just too high to reach! Job done, though. I also tidied/weeded/cut edges like crazy. Well, it all depends whether we get more good days, doesn't it! Lovely working in the sunshine....

Grass cut, edges done, pond de-leaved, a bit of weeding and the conifers have had a final trim. Rest of the day sat in the garden enjoying.
More days like this please.
